Canadian MRDA June 2016 Recap

Welcome to the latest edition of the Canadian MRDA monthly recaps!

Each month, check this space for a breakdown of sanctioned games completed by Canadian MRDA

squads, as well as upcoming bouts to keep an eye on.

June was another stellar, albeit quiet, month for Canadian teams in the MRDA, as squads from the

“Great White North” continued to push towards a potential playoff appearance this October in Texas.

After posting a spotless 3-0 record in the month of May, Montreal’s Mont Royals (#16) continued their

busy playing schedule by travelling to Pennsylvania for East Coast Derby Extravaganza, where they

played two sanctioned games against Mass Maelstrom Roller Derby (#11) and Jersey Boys Roller

Derby (#20).

After coming up empty-handed in a tough, bruising battle against the Maelstrom on Friday night, the

Mont Royals recovered to hand the Jersey Boys their worst loss in league history.

Mass Maestrom 214 Mont Royals 106

Mont Royals 569 Jersey Boys 29

Calgary’s Glenmore Reservoir Dogs had a very busy month of June as they managed to get in four

sanctioned bouts in Colorado at Mayday Mayhem.

Glenmore earned three hard fought sanctioned wins over the BisMan Bomberz (#35), Uinta Madness

(unranked) and Collision Men’s Derby (unranked) before dropping their final bout of the weekend to

Denver’s Ground Control (#30).

Glenmore 325 Bomberz 98

Glenmore 317 Uinta 131

Glenmore 204 Collision 186

Ground Control 237 Glenmore 141
